Created in 2010 by Juliette Aittouarès, director of Galerie Espace 54, the Photo Saint-Germain festival celebrates its 4th edition this year. From November 7th to 22nd, it brings together over forty galleries, institutions, cultural centers and bookstores on the left bank creating a photographic promenade. Exhibitions, screenings and encounters will provide the tempo of the program.
THE TEAM
Coordination générale
The festival coordination is handled by Virginie Huet, assigned to the Mois de la Photo 2014 and an independent journalist, and Aurélia Marcadier, independent curator and co-founder of TEMPLE, a contemporary photography exhibition space in Paris.
Association Photo Saint-Germain-des-Prés
The Photo Saint-Germain-des-Prés association is currently presided by Christophe Lunn, expert in photography for Artcurial and independent curator.
Members of the selection committee created for the 2015 edition are :
Jeanne-Fouchet-Nahas, associate co-editor of the Connaissance des Arts supplements.
Caroline Géraud, art buyer.
Hélène Giannecchini, writer and independent curator.
Luce Lebart, supervisor of collections at the Société Française de Photographie.
Chantal Nedjib, founder and president of the communications agency L’image par l’image.
THE IDENTITY
The official image was created by Laurent Champoussin. Born in 1970, he works and resides both in Paris and Nantes. He worked for 15 years in the film industry, notably as executive producer of films by Nuri Bilge Ceylan, Aki Kaurismaki or Alain Cavalier.
Since 2007, he is completely devoted to photography and has participated in several group and solo exhibitions in Berlin, Paris, Madrid and New-York.
The visual identity was completely redesigned by art director François Saintamon, a graduate of ESAG Penninghen.
