Jean-Michel Voge
Vision d’Iran
7 – 22 November

In February 2015, Jean-Michel Voge went to Iran with Dominique Chevalier, for his bimonthly trip to follow the Parsua rugs production. DC makes him discover a country far away from the occidental cliché.

Related to this travel, Jean-Michel Voge writes:
“As a great traveler, I thought I saw the world beside I never had the chance to visit Iran. I only knew about the rumors : rigor, prohibition, censorship. But what I discovered, surprised me : an organized country with impeccable gardens in Dreamed Isfahan, the colorful bazaars full of extraordinary goods, the great hospitality of my hosts, the silhouette of women, the color of the fabrics and rugs, the teenagers playing in well- kept gardens with fountains and water jets functioning. A country in the move! At night, in Teheran, it is reassuring to note that life does not stop with the prayer call. On the contrary, life goes on in its diversity, its smells, its hubbubs and lights.”

The exhibition “Vison of Iran“ presents thirty photographies, black & white and color on the everyday life along with architecture and heritage views.
